Listening to her words helped little. A quick glance to his wrist proved that the first second he was alone, there'd be a few newer-looking cuts. It might have been immasculine, but it was either that or he broke something. He closed his eyes as she whispered in his ear, and shook his head.
"Raze, I'm nothing more than the paper your black and white world is printed on. The pictures are what counts; never the paper they're printed on."

"Nelson your so much more then that. Stop putting yourself down. When you put yourself down it hurts me. It makes me feel like I'm saying all the wrong things, and I just want to see you happy and that gorgeous smile of yours." By this point she was almost pleading with him.
She put her hands over his wrist so he wouldn't look at them anymore. She then whispered. "And this..." She gestured to his wrist. Her voice finally went to the normal tone. "I don't want to see this anymore. Nelson I finally have you back and I don't want to walk in and see you bleeding from the pain of you hurting me or something like that. By you coming home its mended all my pain. So no hurting yourself now that your home. I need you here with me for a long long time. I love you Nelson." She then gave each of his wrist a kiss.

Sighing softly, he knew that she was right. If he truly needed to put himself down, it would hurt her too. He'd never harm himself with her around, for fear that she'd see him at his worst, but she was right. Pull yourself together, she was telling him, and he was planning on listening.
"Okay, I promise. I won't, because I have you. You're my Band-Aid. You'll keep me from myself."

She kissed his cheek. "I just want you to be happy." She then layed her head on his shoulder and moved her hand into his and laced their fingers.

His emerald eyes flashing to her face as she moved, he gave her a small smile. "I'm fine; just thinking about how much I've missed you. And how I could possibly be so lucky as to have you back." Shifting, he lay along the couch, pulling her on top of him. His lips met hers, and there was nothing but bliss.

With a stroke of sudden inspiration, he lifted the right corner of his shirt. "Hey, look what I got for you." Underneath, there was a heart, stenciled in black and there was dripping blood from the tight thorns around it. In the middle, it had his name and hers, close together. "Told you I missed you." There were muscles now too, very pronounced.

She traced the tattoo with her finger and she couldn't believe he had actually got a tattoo with her name on it. "Wow." She loved the tattoo. "So you did this just because you missed me?"

I love you and I wanted you to know that I don't plan on leaving ever again. You're a part of me now. Truly, you're as close as you can get to me now."
