Okay, so I know I'm not really a morning person, but I just couldn't sleep. You know that feeling when you wake up in the dead of night, yet can't get back to sleep if your life depended on it? That had been mine, Skyix's. That was when I decided I'd get up, since there was no way I'd end up falling back asleep. And to my surprise the sun wasn't even up yet. But it was very cold. I bundled myself up a bit. The usual hoodie, skinny jeans, shoes, and such. Only I found a small black scarf, that I hadn't seen since christmas, when I was at least fourteen. Someone must have stuck it in my suitcase. I didn't care. It was cold, so I used it. I had on my fishnet glove like things, and put on my studded belt and choker. My studded wristbands were also a necessity.

Anyway, so here I was sitting on the edge of a rather slippery wood dock, boredly watching the sunrise. It was beautiful, I'll admit. But someone like me would probably be afraid of being outside alone in the morning. But hey, I was stronger than them. I also weren't afraid of anything.. Or so I told myself. I swayed my feet over the edge, the toes of my vans gliding across the surface of the water as I watched my pitiful reflection disperse into many different waves. Almost like my life. Somehow I didn't notice the cold wet tears that slid down my cheeks. It was now, as I wiped away the tears, that I was beginning to wonder why I was here. There was nothing, nobody, absolutely nothing, that was keeping me here. But why I couldn't leave I wasn't sure.

So once the sun got a great deal of itself into the sky, I layed back on my back and stared at the sky. The sky that was nearly empty, but with a few stray clouds here and there. And right now, I must have been miserable. All I knew was that I felt horrible. I lifted my arms into my vision as I slid down my sleeves. I took my fingers and gently ran them across the top of scars and scabs. Little tiny reminders, of who was there, but never really was. Little things that told someone that I wasn't okay. The little tiny things, that told someone to rescue me.

I stayed there for a few seconds until I happened to hear someone come up behind me and speak. I sat up, jumping a bit. My bright blue eyes immediatly looking to his face as I pulled my sleeves down. I shook my head a bit shaking out the black and blonde bangs that made it so I couldn't see. I quickly brought my knees to my chest.

"I... Uh... I couldn't sleep..." I paused to bite my lip as I dropped my gaze to the ground. Then he spoke again and I looked up yet again. "I'm Skyix. But, I guess you can call me Sky, if you'd like." I shrugged. I didn't care. He could call me anything within reason, and that was just with everyone. Its not like he was special. Its not like he was the one that could save me... Could he?

I nodded and then crossed my legs in the childhood criss cross applesauce kind of thing. I looked over to the lake, watching the water again before I pulled out my cell phone and checked my reflection. I began wiping my eyes, trying my hardest to get the black not to smear more than it was. After a few seconds, I pulled out an eyeliner stick and applied it rather blindly since there was nothing there to see with. And when I checked it, it looked fine.

My gaze looked back up to Austin as I placed my things away. My arms falling into my lap. My eyes covered with black again. "So, Austin, if its a bit too early for me to be out here, then what are you doing out here?" I smirked and offered him a small smile.

I raised an eyebrow in curiosity. "Okay..." I paused and felt a small smile creep onto my face. I layed back again. My eyes shutting momentarily. Thats when I looked up and spotted a bird that flew rather strong. A hawk probably. I suddenly shivered and looked over at Austin.

"Hey, I'm freezing. Want to go get a cup of coffee or something?" I asked. So, maybe I wanted to learn more about him. Maybe he wasn't to bad. Actually, I might have been opening up to him. But not too much. I wasn't stupid. I shook the hair from my eyes and smiled over at him.
